Mr. Arthur Louis "Big Reed" Reed

Arthur L. Reed, 56 of Magnolia, Arkansas formerly of Malvern, Arkansas gained his Angel Wings on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. He was born on April 17, 1965, to the proud parents of Willie and Lula Reed of Malvern, Arkansas. He graduated from Malvern High School in 1983 and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Arkansas State University. He was a proud member of both the Masonic PHA Family of The Jurisdiction of Arkansas and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. He was a diligent worker with an entrepreneurial spirit and was the owner and operator of several businesses. No one who met Arthur Louis forgot his infectious passion for music and art. He was the living life of the party. He was comical and would crack a joke with even the strangest stranger. His larger-than-life personality allowed him to talk to anyone on any level. He enjoyed meeting people and being around them. He was loved and adored by many, and He will be missed dearly. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother, and grandfather. He leaves his memory to be cherished by his wife, Vernester (Gray) Reed of Magnolia, Arkansas; his father Willie L. Reed of Malvern, Arkansas; his children, Arianna Reed of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Jackson Reed of Malvern, Arkansas, his sisters, Denee Reed of Malvern, Arkansas, and Sandra Reed (Joseph) of Malvern, Arkansas; his stepchildren De’Marlius Gray, La’Darius Daniels and Ja’Michael Daniels of Homer, Louisiana and step grandchildren Kailyn Marie Gray (De’Marlius) and Emery Alisha Daniels (La’Darius) of Homer, Louisiana as well as host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. He is also survived by His best friends that he would stay on the phone with for hours talking about their next big move in life. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Lula Reed of Malvern, Arkansas; grandparents Luie and Zelma Reed of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and grandparents Arthur and Maude Craig of Sparkman, Arkansas. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 10th, 2021, at Piney Grove Cemetery in, Arkadelphia, AR, at 1:00 p.m., under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Supt. Larry Roach, Eulogist. Visitation will be Thursday, December 9th, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, “Everyone Is Required to Wear A Mask While Attending the Services and During Visitation Hours”.
