Mr. Chester Lee "Punchie" Mallory

Chester Lee Mallory, Jr., affectionately known as “Punchie,” was born on February 25, 1954, to the late Chester Mallory, Sr. and Sadie Mae Grissom Mallory. On Sunday, March 15, 2026, our world changed forever with the passing of this beloved man whose life touched so many. Chester received his formal education at Columbia High School. He was a believer in the Lord and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. On December 9, 1972, Chester married the love of his life, Diane Martin. Their union was one built on love, laughter, and commitment, lasting until the Lord called him home. From this beautiful union, three children were born: Donyetta, Felicia, and Eric. Chester was a man who truly enjoyed life in his own way. He loved fishing and could often be found enjoying the peace of the water. He also had a passion for playing cards and spending time watching his favorite television series, Gunsmoke. He took pride in detailing cars, making sure everything he touched looked its best. Known for his humor and lively personality, Chester loved talking “mess” and keeping those around him laughing. Above all, his greatest joy was being surrounded by his family, those moments meant the most to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Mallory Sr. and Sadie Mae Grissom Mallory; one brother, Jody Mallory, Sr.; one grandson, Donterris “Terry” Mallory; and one great-grandson, Mason Mi’yunn Evans. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his devoted and loving wife, Diane Mallory; four children: Donyetta (Johnny) Rabb and Felicia (Danny) White, both of Springhill, LA; Eric (Dana) Mallory of Magnolia, AR; and Bryant Grissom of Texarkana, TX. He is also survived by two sisters, Doris Jean Edwards and Doris “Faye” Harris, both of Magnolia, Arkansas; three brothers, Eartha (Essie) Mallory, John “Smokie” Mallory, and Charlie Mallory, all of Magnolia, AR; beloved mother in-law, Bernice Hawthorne of Springhill, LA; and his only living uncle, Ernest Grissom of Mesquite, TX. Additionally, he leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory. Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, Arkansas at 2:30 p.m., with burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Magnolia, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Minister Samuel Orange, Eulogist. Visitation will be Friday, {Mar. 20th}, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at R.L. Reed Funeral Home in Magnolia, Arkansas. “For precaution due to the COVID-19, Masks are Encouraged but Not Required While Attending the Services and During Visitation Hours. However, wearing masks ensures safety for you and others. Thank you.”
