Ms. Cynthia Denise Perry

Cynthia Denise Wilson Perry passed away peacefully at her home on February 21, 2025. Cynthia was born on September 7, 1963, at Lafayette County Memorial Hospital in Lewisville, Arkansas. She was raised in Stamps, Arkansas by her great-grandparents, the late Army Young and Rhodia Holmes Young. After which, at the age of five, she moved to Forrest City, Arkansas with her family. Cynthia then moved to Kaiserslautern, Germany before returning to Stamps, Arkansas where she was raised by her grandparents, the late Arthur and Bessie Mae Flournoy. Cynthia finished high school at John H. Reagan in Austin, Texas. After high school, she attended the HBCU, Bishop College in Dallas, Texas where she obtained a degree in Business Administration. While attending Bishop College, she was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Cynthia went on to become a professional writer under several pen names, most notably, Nesi Wilson and Nesi Writes. She penned two books, “A Musing Heart” and “Free to Be Me” for author and international speaker, Christi R Williams. Nesi freelanced for several publications. She was also a Social Media Administrator for several businesses including her alma mater, Bishop College, under the name of “Good Ole Bishop Blue” leaving a legacy for posterity to remember her college and its alumni. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father Major Williams Jr and brothers, Eric Pree and N’Gai Williams. She leaves to reflect upon memories shared: her mother, Willie Wilson; her siblings, Rahman Wilson, LaCheryl Mauls, and Dr. Alaric (Tara) Williams; her bonus mom, Bama Williams; her aunts, Emma Ward Gonzales, Joyce Sterling, Lazell Williams, and Linda Williams; her uncles Andrew Lawson and Ronald (Glenda) Flournoy; her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers please make donations to DNAngels (DNAngels.org) Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 1:00 p.m., in Nash, Texas. “For precaution due to the COVID-19, Masks are Encouraged but Not Required While Attending the Services. However, wearing masks ensures safety for you and others. Thank you.”
