Mrs. Jacqueline King - Hardiman

Jacqueline King was born on April 2, 1960, to Sadie Mae Berry and Othell King in Magnolia, AR. Jacqueline, affectionately nicknamed Jackie, was the oldest of ten siblings. She had such a sweet and easy-going personality; we often teased her about being the “baby” in the family. She loved talking to people. Cooking and eating with friends and family were some of her greatest passions. She had a love for music and loved to dance. She was very fun. If new styles of clothes, shoes, nails, or hairstyles came out, she was always wanting to try them. Jackie’s earliest years of school were at Westside School, Waldo, AR, which later integrated and became Waldo Public Schools. She was a graduate of Waldo High School, Class of 1978. After graduating, she attended Red River Vocational School in Hope, AR. Jackie’s loving and caring personality was a good match for the jobs she chose to start out her work history. She worked several years as an In-Home Service Caregiver. She later changed her job to education. She worked many years as a paraprofessional in the Waldo Public School District until its closing. She worked in the Magnolia Public District until her health issues. Jackie married James Hardiman Jr. on November 13, 1989. To this union, one child was born—Jeron Jaquon Hardiman. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, stepdaughter Rachael Hardiman, maternal grandparents Mae Etta Moss and Artis Berry, paternal grandparents Lenora Messer and Earnest King, brother Napoleon Moss Jr., and brothers-in-law Michael Turner Sr. and Caldwell Easter Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories her son Jeron (Londa) Hardiman of Hope, AR; four grandchildren: Haylee Hardiman and Jeron Hardiman Jr. of Hope, AR; and Cayden and Jada Gill of Riverview, FL. Sisters: Judith (Carey) Hall of Toccoa, GA; Pamela Shaw, Carolyn (Hal) Prevoe, and Sandra (John) Jackson all of Waldo, AR; Tearee Easter of Houston, TX, Mekia (Antoine) Anderson of Magnolia, AR, Ka’Trina King of Tallahassee, FL; Brothers: Carlton Watson of Battle Creek, MI, Randy Courtney of Waldo, AR, and Earnie King of Carson, CA; Aunt: Earnestine King Dillard of Waldo, AR; Uncle: Kenneth Messer of Waldo, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Celebration of Life services will be held Sunday, November 9th, 2025, at St. John Baptist Church in Waldo, Arkansas at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Waldo, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Visitation will be Friday, {Nov. 7th}, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at R.L. Reed Funeral Home in Magnolia, Arkansas. “For precaution due to the COVID-19, Masks are Encouraged but Not Required While Attending the Services and During Visitation Hours. However, wearing masks ensures safety for you and others. Thank you.”
