Mrs. Jannie Sue Williams-Little

Jannie Sue Williams-Little was born on December 5, 1949, in Waldo, Arkansas, to the late Earnest Williams, Sr. and Ida Belle Nelson Williams. She was educated in the Waldo Public School system and later dedicated many years of service to Southern Arkansas University. Additionally, she was employed at Ludwig in Waldo, Arkansas. Jannie had a passion for cooking and cherished time spent with family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she deeply valued the bond she shared with each of them. A loyal and devoted friend, Jannie stood firmly beside those she loved. She shared a special connection with all of her siblings. In her younger days, Jannie enjoyed social gatherings and the lively atmosphere they brought. However, after a personal transformation through her faith, she found joy and peace in listening to gospel music. Jannie accepted Christ at an early age and first united with Kendricks Chapel before later moving her membership to True Worship Mission under the leadership of Pastor Joyce Easter. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Napoleon Little, and they shared 18 wonderful years together until his passing in 2020. On Thursday, July 10, 2025, Jannie entered into eternal rest. Just two days later, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, she was joined in glory by her beloved daughter, Gladys Ann Young. Jannie was also preceded in death by her parents, Earnest Williams, Sr. and Ida Belle Nelson Williams; four brothers: Oscar Williams, Herman Williams, Earnest Williams, Jr., and Freddie Williams; one sister, Alzola Payne; two grandchildren, Cornelious Young and SaQuanna Young; and one great-grandchild, Bryson Allen. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her son, Dennis (Atron) Young; three daughters: Regina Harris, Eudora Curry, and Vanessa Beasley; bonus children: Natasha Jones, Maurice Jones, and Tiffany Jones; her last surviving brother, Johnnie (Yvonne) Williams; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many other relatives and friends. A special friend, Barbara Redden, also remains to honor her memory. Jannie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, July 19th, 2025, at the Columbia District Auditorium in Magnolia, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Smith Cemetery in Waldo, Arkansas, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home LLC. Supt. James Turner, Eulogist. A visitation will be Friday {Jul. 18th} from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., at R.L. Reed Funeral Home. “For precaution due to the COVID-19, Masks are Encouraged but Not Required While Attending the Services and During Visitation Hours. However, wearing masks ensures safety for you and others. Thank you.”
