Mrs. Nina Mack

On January 10, 1965, in McNeil, Arkansas, Eunice Sanders-Warren gave birth to two beautiful twin baby girls. One of those baby girls was named Nina. Nina and her twin sister were very outgoing as children. She was very talkative and never met a stranger, because everyone she met quickly became her friend. She was also the twin who always wanted them to dress alike, a reflection of the closeness they shared. That special bond between them only deepened as they grew into adulthood. Nina attended Waldo Elementary School and graduated from Waldo High School in 1983. After graduating high school, Nina later went on to attend University of Arkansas, Hope-Texarkana where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy. She worked as a respiratory therapist for about a year and then wanted to pursue something different. She started working at Amfuel and loved her time working there because she loved the work culture where they would often have potlucks with lots of socializing. She loved cooking for the potlucks, and her favorite question was always, ‘How was it?’ If you bragged about her food, you could count on having a plate waiting for you the next time she cooked. Amfuel was where she also met the love of her life Walter Mack. She was a woman of strength and didn’t take slack from anyone. She loved her family and her people. Her joy was found in gathering loved ones, and her cooking was the language of her love. She carried a wit that could make you laugh and a fire that made it clear she was never to be underestimated. Even during her recovery, she wasn’t shy about speaking her truth—if the food wasn’t up to her standards, she would boldly let the staff know it was ‘nasty’ and offer to show them how it should be done. If someone tried to dig too deep into her personal affairs, she had no problem replying with a firm, ‘none of your business.’ She was one who always spoke her mind—if you were thinking it but too afraid to say it, she was the one who would. She lived unapologetically herself, a woman of candor, humor, and boldness. She enjoyed a good time. Nina’s favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas because those holidays brought her family together. She loved the holidays because it meant a house full of people and time with her grandbabies, which made her heart smile. You could always count on her to spoil her grandchildren even more during those times. Outside of her family, she loved her classmates. She never missed an opportunity to show up at meetings, events, or class reunions because the bond they shared was truly special to her. Nina was a woman determined to make things happen in her life. She often spoke of wanting to be a teacher and even left Amfuel to pursue that calling. She enrolled at Southern Arkansas University to become a teacher but had to set it aside after her cancer diagnosis. Nina was funny, resilient, generous, strong-willed, determined, and loving. Yet of all the titles she carried, the one she cherished most was ‘Mother.’ Her greatest treasures and proudest accomplishments were her two children, LaQuasha and Jeremy. She was an extraordinary mother —supportive, devoted, and willing to do anything for her kids. Her family and friends will forever remember her spirit, her caring heart, and her ability to make others smile. She was preceded in death by her mother Eunice Sanders-Warren, two sisters; Marshelle Sanders and Anita Phillips; two brothers: Joe A. Ferguson and Clifton Ray Warren. She leaves to cherish in her loving memories, the love of her life for 33 years, her husband, Walter Mack; her beloved children, LaQuasha (Raymond) Ross and Jeremy (Amanda) Rosson; her bonus children: Wendy (Cory) Childs, Racquel Ceasar, Rachel Aaron, and Ed Martin; her dear grandchildren: Trinitee Rosson, Tyler Fuentes, Kobe Rosson, Braelynn Rosson, Anaia Rosson, Jeremy Rosson, Raegan Ross, RJ Ross, Chana Childs, Skylar Aaron, Addison Ceasar, and Austin Ceasar; 3 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Dena Warren-Griffin, Brenda Ross, Vivian (Doug) Smith, Jackie Lair, Cathy (Earl) Johnson, Barbara (Ray) Lawson, Mary L. Shaw, Vandon (Rita) Warren, Michael Warren, and Brian Warren; brother-in-law, Billy Ray Phillips, and her God daughter, Quanisha Armstrong, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She will forever be in our hearts. Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, October 3rd, 2025, at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Harrison Chapel Cemetery in Rosston, Arkansas, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Visitation will be Thursday, {Oct. 2nd}, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at R.L. Reed Funeral Home in Magnolia, Arkansas. “For precaution due to the COVID-19, Masks are Encouraged but Not Required While Attending the Services and During Visitation Hours. However, wearing masks ensures safety for you and others. Thank you.”
