Mrs. Yvonne Christopher - James

Yvonne Christopher James was born on January 22, 1943, in Magnolia, Arkansas, to the late Mozelle Cooper and Burnis James Christopher. She transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on December 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Yvonne accepted Christ as her personal Savior early in life and was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church until relocating first to California and later to Las Vegas, Nevada. While residing in Las Vegas, she was a devoted member of the International Church of Las Vegas, Assemblies of God, and was licensed for ministry. Following the passing of her beloved husband, Henry James, she returned to Magnolia. There, she faithfully attended Greater Harvest Church of God in Christ and Bethlehem Baptist Church until her health began to decline. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Margaret “Tudie” Windom; her maternal grandparents, De Otis and Mattie Hunter Cooper; her paternal grandparents, Willie Ed and Eunice Toney Christopher; her grandson, Jermillian “Gee” Daniels; and her great-great grandson, Chauncey Barnes. She leaves to cherish her memory with her daughter, Barbara Daniels; her son, Dewayne Dennis; her aunt, Barbara Christopher; three half-sisters, Gwendolyn (James) Jones, Bernadine Branch, and Bernadette Holton; three grandchildren, Tonya (Edwin) Turner, Brandon (Tamika) Williamson, and Dwallone (Tierra) Dennis; fifteen great grandchildren, Akeiba and Kamari Christopher, Jermysha Davis, Tyesha, Leighton, Jamaurie, and Jeremiah Daniels, Zakari and Braylee Williamson, Cameron and Braden Purifoy, DeKaila Dennis, Matthew Davis, Dwallone Dennis, Jr., and Riah Dennis; six great-great-grandchildren, Charity and Jaylee Christopher, Joshua Palmer, Kaleece and Nylo Walker, and Zakari Williamson, Jr.; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whom she loved deeply. Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, January 10th, 2026, at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, Arkansas at 2:30 p.m., with burial to follow at 23rd Psalms Cemetery in Magnolia, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Supt. Larry Roach, Eulogist. Visitation will be Friday, {Jan. 9th}, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at R.L. Reed Funeral Home in Magnolia, Arkansas. “For precaution due to the COVID-19, Masks are Encouraged but Not Required While Attending the Services and During Visitation Hours. However, wearing masks ensures safety for you and others. Thank you.”
