Desiree N. Tarkington Johnson was born on November 11, 1996, to Corey D. Johnson, Sr. and Camilia J. McGuire In El Dorado, Arkansas. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, in her home in Houston, Texas. Desiree was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Houston, Texas. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Stafford, Texas. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Dorothy Jean Washington-Johnson, and Jessie Mae Bradley; grandfather, Harold Gene McGuire; paternal great grandparents, John, and Vester Washington; uncles, John H. Johnson, Jr., and Tory K. Johnson; niece and nephew, Angel, and Ahmaud Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Camilia J. McGuire of Houston, TX; father, Corey D. (Iwillie) Johnson of Buckner, AR; one sister, India M. Johnson; three brothers: Likore’ D. Johnson, Sr. of Lewisville, AR, Jordan X. Johnson of Stamps, AR, and Corey D. Johnson of Buckner, AR; grandfather, John H. (Vicky) Johnson, Sr.; great grandmother, Ruby Lee Bradley; three special aunts: Marea (Calvin) Johnson-Smith of Waldo, AR; Krystal Johnson of Upper Marlboro, MD; and Trina (Dennis) Ridley of Hot Springs, AR; three loving uncles: John Nathan McDaniels, John Johnson of Texarkana, AR, and Torrell K. Johnson, Sr. of Houston, TX; one special friend, Alexandria Alvarado of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, AR, at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, AR, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Visitation will be Friday, April 1st, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., at R.L. Reed Funeral Home in Magnolia, AR.
