Miss Jaleashia Nicole King
December 28, 1997 - March 27, 2021
Jaleashia Nicole King (LeLe), was born December 28, 1997, to Sheila McCray and Gecoma King in Little Rock, AR. She attended Magnolia Public School and graduated in the year of 2016. LeLe was involved in several activities while attending school. She had a love for singing in the choir. She spent her extra time at school with Student Council, Drama Club, and Upward Bound. After graduating high school, LeLe attended Southern Arkansas University where she was pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. Although she was determined to get her degree, her health would not allow her to fulfill that dream. During her time in college, Jaleashia was employed with the Upward Bound program and was a member of Encore and BSA. LeLe was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church where she was given God’s word through Reverend W.C. Tims, Pastor George Barnes, and Pastor DeWayne Thompson. LeLe had a love for Sunday School and was always upset when she had to miss going to class with her teacher and aunt Patty Weaver. She was active in the Youth and Adult choir, and Praise Dance team. LeLe wanted to spread her love for God not only at N.Z.B.C., but also at other churches where she was a member of OVM, Columbia District Choir, and Juneteenth Choir. LeLe activities, while not attending church or school, was a joyous time for her. She spent her extra time with her cousins going to the movies, Greek shows, and visiting friends. LeLe was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jessie Rankin, maternal great grandparents, Willie and Vernell Ellis, and Ira and Louise Greer, paternal great grandparents, Welton and Kathryn Beasley, maternal aunts, Patricia, and Jackie McCray.
