Mr. Ramon "Rooster" Terrill Broomfield

Life’s Journey Ramon Terrill ‘Rooster’ Broomfield was born to Will and Florene Broomfield on November 26, 1978 in Magnolia, Arkansas. He passed away Saturday night, March 13, 2021 from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. Ramon ‘Rooster ‘attended Magnolia High School and he was a member of the Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Magnolia, Arkansas. Ramon married Kimberly Ann Willis of Stamps, Arkansas on June 21, 2002. They were married 18 years and to this union three children were born. Family Ramon enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughters, Aaliyah, and Chloe ‘the girls’ as he often called them. The family enjoyed fishing and ATV riding. Ramon established many traditions in his household. It was a tradition for Ramon and Kim to take the girls on vacation every year during spring break and every summer before the girls returned to school in the fall. The family loved fishing and fishing trips were an adventure that occurred at random. Chloe the youngest daughter received a trophy in a fishing derby several summers ago, and of course her dad ‘Rooster’ was right there cheering her on. He was extremely competitive and demonstrated the strategy of how to be competitive to his daughters, Aaliyah and Chloe through family game night which often occurred twice a month. Rooster enjoyed good home cooking and he was not afraid to demonstrate his skills in the kitchen. In addition, he enjoyed grilling and barbecuing for his family. Ramon was preceded in death by his son, Ramon T. Broomfield, Jr.; his parents Will and Florene Broomfield; his maternal grandparents, Grant, and Augusta Coleman; his parental grandparents, Goodwill and Gladys Broomfield; and special uncle Calvin Coleman. He leaves to cherish memories to his lovely wife, Kimberly Ann Broomfield, his daughters, Aaliyah, and Chloe Broomfield, of Magnolia, AR; Tatyana Broomfield of Dallas, TX, and Dominique Broomfield of Lexington, VA; sisters, Regina Broomfield of Atlanta, Georgia; Cynthia Broomfield of Houston, Texas; Cynthia Hollidy, of Camden AR and brother, Ricky Broomfield, of Magnolia, AR. Special cousins Lance White and special friends John Henry and Stacy Arnold. Work History Ramon worked in the construction industry for 15 years. Ramon was employed at Potlatch Deltic Corporation, Waldo, Arkansas as a Kiln Operator in 2013. Ramon was licensed by the State of Arkansas Department of Labor Boiler Inspection Division as Boiler Operator in January 2019, where her remained as a hardworking, dedicated, and loyal employee until he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Hobby Ramon, ‘Rooster’ was a faithful and loyal member of the Hammer Down Riding Club. Rooster had a competitive nature; therefore, he was in his element as a member of the riding club. He loved doing mechanic work on ATV’s and helping anyone that got stuck at a ride. The Hammer Down Riding Club was Rooster’s second love. He was always the one to setup the Hammer Down Tent. The first ATV that Rooster purchased was a two-wheel drive, but later he upgraded to a four-wheel drive and the rest is history. Graveside Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Magnolia, Arkansas, at 11:00 a.m., under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Eulogist Rev. Robert Sharp.
