Mr. Tevis Tremaine Wright
February 6, 1991 - January 29, 2021
Tevis Tremaine Wright, affectionately known as “T-Lay,” was born on February 6, 1991, to Flossie Paschal and the late Benjamin “Greg” Wright in Magnolia, Arkansas. On Friday, January 29, 2021, he departed this earthly life to enter eternal rest. He confessed Christ at an early age; and was baptized at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. Tevis loved his church family. He remained a member of Galilee, under the leadership of Rev. Al Brewer, until the Lord called him home. Tevis was a member of the 2010 graduating class at Magnolia High School. Even though Tevis’s health challenges did not allow him to pursue a formal profession, he took on the divine job of making sure that everyone around him was okay and that smiles, and laughter were on the faces of those who were around him. He was known for being well-dressed and smelling good. Tevis also had a passion and love for music and food. According to his family, if you knew him you knew that his love for food had him believing that he was a Master Chef—you couldn’t tell him differently. Tevis’s departing closure was never goodbye, but “See you later!” So, until “later” comes, be comforted in knowing that an absence here on earth means presence with our Heavenly Father. Tevis was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin “Greg” Wright; his maternal grandparents, Lonnie Bates, and J.W. Manning; paternal grandparents, Rev. John Adam Wright and Dorothy Cooper Wright; and uncle, James Adam Wright. Those left to cherish beautiful memories of him are: his mother, Flossie Paschal; son, Tayvieun Barnes; sisters, Moneka Wright and Naja Jackson; Stepmother, Betty Chappel Wright; step-sisters, Kokita Love and Chakita Chappel; step-brother, Brian Chappel; god-parents, Kenny and Wanda Alexander; god-sisters, LaCrystal Snell and Katreese Alexander-Turner; god-brothers, Nicholas Alexander, Wallace Weaver, and Tommy Mallory; special friends: Rodrick Moore, Jerome Page, Eric Jones, Kendric Murphy, Reginald Jackson, Tony Brooks, Demarcus Talley, Michael Johnson, De’Varrio White, and Arron Johnson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
