Mrs. Valerie Kay Davis

Valerie Kay Davis was born on June 21, 1957, to the late Raymond Jr. and Tressie Jordan in El Dorado, Arkansas. She received His heavenly reward on August 30, 2020, while surrounded by her husband and children. Valerie accepted Christ at an early age. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church Cordell in El Dorado, Arkansas, under the leadership of Rev. Pierce E. Moore, until she was called home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2020. She was a faithful member until her death. She was a deaconess, the missionary president, served on the kitchen committee, sung in the church choir, and a Sunday school teacher. Valerie received her education at El Dorado High School in 1975. She later furthered her education in 2012 when she received an associate degree in Criminal Justice. She continued her study in Criminal Justice and received her bachelor’s degree in 2016; and this year she received her master’s degree in Public Administration. Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Emma Jean Hick, and brother, Edward Jordan. Valerie’s fond and loving memories will be cherished by her husband of 30 years, Randy Davis of Smackover, Arkansas; one daughter, Cicely Moore of Jacksonville, Arkansas; two sons, Mozell (Sherina) Moore and Darwin (Kimberly) Moore, both of El Dorado, Arkansas, both of El Dorado, Arkansas; one brother, Raymond (Kay) Jordan Jr.; one sister, Mary Jordan of Smackover, Arkansas; one God-daughter, Regina (Lance) Collins of Russellville, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and numerous friends, and a church family who will miss her dearly. Celebration of Life services will be held Sunday, September 6th, 2020, at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium in El Dorado, Arkansas at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Lott Burgy Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas, by a Horse Drawn Carriage, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Dr. Pierce L. Moore eulogist. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, “Everyone Is Required To Wear A Mask While Attending The Services”. This ensures safety for you and others.
