Ms. LeShay Chanelle Richard

Ms. LeShay Richard was born on October 25, 1990, in El Dorado, Arkansas. From an early age, LeShay expressed her deep connection with Christianity by becoming a member of Beech Hill Baptist Church. This religious upbringing was further reinforced as she spent time worshipping with her family at Damascus Baptist Church. From her earliest days, she cherished laughter and time spent with family. LeShay was a devoted daughter, a loving sister, and above all - a remarkable mother. Shay's love for her son, CJ, was unmatched; he was her pride and joy, her best friend. LeShay, was a distinguished graduate of Magnolia High School, Class of 2009. At just 33 years old, she touched so many lives with her kindness, her joy, and her incredible spirit. Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made on each of our lives is everlasting and the journey she endured later in life revealed her true purpose. Shay was here to teach us about resilience, perseverance, and about the power of faith. We affectionately refer to her strength as #ShayTypeofFaith because her faith was truly extraordinary. Through every trial and triumph, she held fast to her belief in God's goodness and grace. Her journey was not without its challenges, but through it all, she remained steadfast, showing us what it means to have big faith. Even today, she would encourage us to know that God did not fail! In honoring LeShay’s memory, it is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge her passing, preceded by the loss of her beloved father, Martell Richard. She now reunites with her maternal grandparents, Mrs. Lula Mae and Mr. Ezra McDaniel, as well as her paternal grandparents, Mrs. Julia and Mr. Earsha Bell Richard, in eternal peace. Cherished Memories: LeShay leaves behind a legacy of love and memories. She is survived by her pride and joy, Cardaire Richard, her beloved son; her loving mother, Avenell Richard, from Village, Arkansas; two sisters, Shantell and Tyronda Richard from El Dorado, Arkansas; two brothers, Ezron Washington from Village, Arkansas and Chris Richard from Little Rock, Arkansas. Additionally, she is remembered by a multitude of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. As we bid farewell to our beloved LeShay, let us take comfort in the cherished memories we shared and the love that will forever bind us together. Though she may be gone, her spirit will live on in the lives she touched and the hearts she enriched. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 27th, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, Arkansas, with burial to follow at Beech Hill Cemetery in Mt. Holly, Arkansas, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Minister Earnest Moore, Eulogist. No public visitation is scheduled. A viewing will be held Saturday, April 27th, following the service. Please govern yourselves accordingly. “For precaution due to the COVID-19, Masks are Encouraged but Not Required While Attending the Services or During Visitation Hours.
