Mrs. Tiffany Carey

Tiffany Raquel Shepherd Carey was born on November 12, 1984, in Magnolia, AR, to Janie Turner Shepherd Ross and Cotis Velton Shepherd, Jr. At an early age, Tiffany accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Greater Roadside Church of God in Christ, where her faith was firmly rooted under the leadership of Pastor Larry Yarborough, Sr. Tiffany was a proud 2003 graduate of Magnolia High School. In 2010, she married the love of her life, Avious Carey. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, travel, date nights, family memories, and special moments. Tiffany especially enjoyed being pampered, and she had a joyful spirit that made her presence unforgettable. She loved board games, treasured time with family and friends, and was truly a social butterfly who brought laughter and light wherever she went. As a devoted wife and mother, Tiffany’s love for her family was evident in everything she did. She never missed a moment in the lives of her children. From Kingston’s very first YMCA basketball games to his team events, Tiffany was always there cheering him on. She also cherished sweet mother-daughter moments with Kasyn, especially doing makeup and nails together. Her children were her heart, and her devotion to them was constant and unconditional. Professionally, Tiffany excelled as a Medical Coding Supervisor. She was loved and respected by her team of 20 for her compassionate leadership, kind heart, and caring spirit. Though she was known for her goofy sense of humor, Tiffany also had a special way of encouraging others and bringing joy to those around her. Her laughter, kindness, and loving presence will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Tiffany was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mother Margie Turner; her paternal grandfather, Cotis Velton Shepherd, Sr.; her maternal aunt, Vicki Turner; her paternal aunt, Virginia Shepherd; her godmother, Sister Vivian Jackson; and her godbrother, Reginald Jackson. Those left to cherish her precious memory include her devoted husband, Avious Carey; her treasured children, Kingston Carey and Kasyn Carey; her mother, Janie Turner Shepherd Ross and husband Mark of Dallas, TX; her father, Cotis Velton Shepherd, Jr. and wife Kristal of El Paso, TX; and her mother-in-law, Donna “Mawazo” Nehesi of Fort Worth, TX. She also leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, Colby Shepherd of Melbourne, Australia, Trejan Sanders and wife Kaitlyn of Alexandria, AR, and Tairyn Ross of Dallas, TX; her bonus brother, Tyler Ross of Magnolia, AR; her sisters, Alexandria Shepherd-Sayers of Denver, CO, Sabrina Shepherd of Philadelphia, PA, Courtney Shepherd of Conway, AR, Mariah Nunez and Jasmine Nunez of Colorado Springs, CO, and Andrea Escobar of El Paso, TX; and her sister-in-law, Cassandra Carey of Keller, TX. Tiffany’s memory will also be treasured by her maternal grandfather, Alvin Turner, Jr.; her paternal grandmother, Naomia Shepherd; her aunts, Shelia Turner and husband Oscar of Hot Springs, AR, Barbara Hildreth and husband Wayne of Magnolia, AR, Stephanie and husband Floyd of San Antonio, TX, Janice Shepherd of Magnolia, AR, and Brenda Shepherd of Chicago, IL; her great-aunts, Peggy Reed of Dallas, TX, Sara Calton of Magnolia, AR, and Octavia Revels of Magnolia, AR; her uncles, Alvin Turner and wife Rakena of Little Rock, AR, and Jason Shepherd of Magnolia, AR; and her great-uncle, Larry Ferguson of Magnolia, AR. She also leaves her god-sisters, Lonita Davis and Eugenia Cooper; her godbrother, Victor Jackson; her special niece, Laila Sanders, who loved Tiffany dearly and affectionately called her “Aunt Peach”; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, May 15th, 2026, at the Columbia District Auditorium in Magnolia, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at 23rd Psalms Cemetery in Magnolia, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Minister Charles Blanks, Eulogist. A final viewing will be held before services begin from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. No other public arrangements will be rendered, so please govern yourselves accordingly. “For precaution due to the COVID-19, Masks are Encouraged but Not Required While Attending the Services. However, wearing masks ensures safety for you and others. Thank you.”
